Salutes to Women

On Super Sunday, a Taiwanese variety show, one of the host was given a task to experience the life of a Geisha.
I read "Memoirs of a Geisha" I already salute to them. Now that I really watch it from TV, I gave Geishas all my sympathy.
Since young, they have to learn all the rules and regulations of a geisha and learn how to serve their clients - MEN !
No matter how nasty those men can get, geishas still have to put up a strong front and entertain them. This is their profession and they respect it alot.

When I switched channel, I saw a bar top dancer crying.....she got into this line because of a JERK. Her ex-boyfriend lost his job and got her into this line. He lived on her. He even wanted her to become a prostitute. When she refused, he ditched her. How "basketball" can a man get ??

Seriously, I think women are very noble. And yet we get all these crap from men. Wassup man ?? If all women refuse to give birth, I think the world might come to an end ?? I dunno ?? Haha.....what abt cloning ? *Eeks*

I met HER.....the gal who changed my life......
Dramatic ?? Nah !!
Honoured ?? She'll be !!
Yes.....she might have changed it.....but it's for the worse.....
She left such a huge scar in my life.......never to forget......
But when I saw her today.....I realised that.....the pain was gone.....
Hatred......anger.....GONE too.......
I shook her hands....as if we made up.....
We chatted for a while.....like friends......
We are friends......just that many issues n misunderstandings came in between.

Come to think about it, maybe I was to blame too during those days.
Nevertheless, it's my BEST lesson in life.
I grew.....I matured.....I forgave n forget.....
Maybe I should thank her !! =)

Remembered my Aunt once told me.....
"Enemies are your best friends, Best friends might be your worst enemy"

The World is in a mess.......
With the US-Iraq war.......and the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) virus........
The one closest to us is definitely SARS.
Guess what......pre-schools....Primary schools.....Secondary schools.....Junior colleges are closed.....
But wait.....why aren't Polytechnics, Unis and ITEs closed ???
We are older.....doesn't mean we are immune to such virus....??
We are Singaporeans too....we have our rights, don't we ??
Guess what......I'm having a cough rite now......but not really flu.....=P

Heard my friend's experience.......
When she coughed in the MRT and the passengers stared at her like she's an alien.....
She even heard some gals saying, "Hey she coughed...Yikes!"
Oh boy.....how rude can one be ?? How paranoid....??
KS pple.....this time not KiaSu (afraid of losing) but KiaSi (afraid of dying) !!!

Now.......I'm in the new computer lab for my Online Journalism module !!
Brr...Brr....*rubs hands* though it has many great features here.....but....it's too cold in here.
*Dang* forgot my jacket......and my fats....are USELESS....!!!

What do we have here...??
1) 19-inch monitors
2) Latest softwares like Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Fireworks MX, Flash MX, Adobe Photoshop 7 etc. One thing though......NO MS OFFICE !!! What a joke.....
3) Nice keyboard....I'm typing on it now.....=P
4) Cute mouse..... with a blue light-up roller......
5) Dim lights......romantic nei......
Brrrrrr.......*sniff*.....still having fun here......
And later....Urbanwire team is gonna have a potluck party......!!!
*growl* Hungry now !!!

I'm JINXED

I'm really experiencing many many bad things.........
Guess what ? This is only the beginning of the week.
Darn... Hate it so much....more of myself....the jinx....
Firstly, bought a new digicam that can't even on......
Secondly, forgetting that I'm supposed to do a re-write for radio broadcast......
Thirdly, have to rewrite the re-write coz lecturer don't like the topic I have chosen.....
Fourth, embarassing myself in front of the guys I like.....
Fifth, being "blurrer" than usual......*sigh*
What else more ???
PLEASE SOMEONE UP THERE SAVE ME......

I'M A BLACK SHEEP (more like PIG)
Sometimes I wonder why am I in Mass Communication course.....?
Now I understand.......I exist to put communications to an END.....!!
If things fall into my hands.......it will turn disastrous......*sigh*

Does this statement make me sound stupid ??
I tink it makes me sound moronic.......=(

A Straits Times article on 27th February
The main cause of youth suicides is relationship problems according to a study by three doctors.
Youth - those under-20s
Relationship problems - friction with parents and breaking up with boyfriends or girlfriends.
The perception of academic stress being the main cause was debunk.

Results also show that:
- more guys commit suicides than girls (16 against 12)
- all jumped off high-rise residential blacks
- Almost half (13) were school drop-outs
- Three-quaters were aged between 14 and 19 and the youngest aged nine

According to the Samaritians of Singapore's research, two-thirds of the callers under 19 were troubled by problems with their family members. As for pre-teens, problems with peers seems to be the cause of their depression.
Counsellors said that the final straw is almost unnoticeable. Sudden behaviour change, loss of interest in their fave activites, writing farewell notes, calling up friends to bid goodbye, giving away treasured belongings and behaving secretively are tell-tale signs of youths on the brink of committing suicide.

My thoughts on this article
Some might think those who commit suicide are brave but i beg to differ.
I think I'm more courageous than them. Coz I got the guts to stay alive and face all the miseries, cruelty and ugliness of LIFE.
How sad......but how true......
Maybe I'm immune to depression......or maybe I'm suffering from it w/o knowing ?
Or maybe I just have a bigger heart, enough to bottle up my life-time sorrows.....?
