SARS.....No fear

Ngee Ann Poly, which is my school will be close for three days to verify the SARS virus. There is a student from our campus who contracted the virus. There is this two feeling thing in me - Happy and sad. Happy because I have more time to do my school projects and sad because I pity the boy lying in the hospital now.

Anyway, this three-days "holiday" has given me a chance to relax. Today, went out with Karene, Jill and James to watch movie - May. From what I saw from its trailer, I tot it will be really scary but it's not. Instead, I tink it's more of bloody n gruesome.

This movie is talking about May (Angela Bettis) is a weird and emotionally disturbed young woman who was born with a lazy eye, which meant that she grew up wearing an eye patch, ostracized from the rest of the kids socially, with only a spooky doll kept in a glass and wood case, given by her mum to keep her company. May work as a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital where she is befriended by the sexy, lesbian receptionist, Polly (Anna Faris). May has a brief relationship with her after a dating experience with an aspiring filmmaker, Adam (Jeremy Sisto) which goes darkly (and bloodily) wrong. As this more-than-slightly cracked woman finds her attempts at human connection failing, she becomes more frustrated... and violent, lashing out at the world, in a blood-soaked effort to make the perfect friend: a doll made out of human parts. I wasn't really affected by the bloody scenes......but more of the ending. I almost cried.....I could relate to that girl's agony. A best friend is so hard to come by these days. What's a Perfect Friend?
