Appreciation

Today, two good frenz, Tesh and Pang sang praises of my blog.....Haha.....Unbelievable ?? I had doubts at first too. =P

Tesh also asked me to blog more often. I would.....provided that the lazy worm in me is dead.....haha....thatz IMPOSSIBLE !!

Anywayz, thankz to the both of u..... At least I know there are someone out there reading this bloggy and actually likes it. Those praises really make my day. =)

Happy Belated Birthday Val

Juz came back from a hearty yet "sinful" dinner at California Kitchen Pizza @ Forum. It was meant to celebrate Val's bday. Val, my close fren & Pri sch mate. Her bday was on the 16th but she had other celebrations that were more impt than mine. Heh. Haven got her any prezzie yet. Hard to find a suitable one.

Was supposed to meet her at Kinokuniya @ Taka at 4pm. I reached Orchard earlier and went shopping on my own. Went Zara and got myself a pair of black pants for work. Went up to Kino - my paradise. Believe it or not, I can spend my whole day or even whole month in Kino or any book store and not feel bored. I'm not a bookworm. I juz love being surrounded by books. Only in a book store, there is an unlimited no. of books for me to read and endless knowledge for me to acquire.

Anyway, Val came at 4 and told me her fren called her and was feeling faint. So Val has to rush to meet her and could only meet me much later. Oh well, wat to do but to let her go. So I spent the following hours sitting in front of a shelf of Zhang Xiao Xian's books and reading them. Read a long chapter of her lastest book - "Li Bie Qu". How I wish I can sweep all her books off the shelf and make them mine. Val came back and brought me away from my paradise.

Actually, books can make me forget about hunger. Maybe itz a good way to slim down. =) Esp. after the "sinful" dinner. =/

The world is SO small

Juz came back from Mathew's birthday party at Costa Sands (East Coast). Thanks to Carina's bf who offered to send me there and back home.

I met Matthew the week before at Carina's bday celebration. First time after three years. Din know him during OI days though. Was shocked to be invited to his party, went anyway. I felt out of place at first.....coz I'm like in berms n teez while others are more dressed up. Heh.

Party was kinda sponsored by Tiger Beer. Guess itz below the lin advertising ?? =/

Din know much frenz there but I was pretty shocked to find out that the chalet beside Matt's is booked by my Pri sch mates. They're from 6C, I'm from 6D. Saw lotsa familiar faces. They found me familiar too. Said "Hi" to Pamela and spoke to Weifen (new fren). How I wish I'm still in contact with my Pri sch classmates. Wonder how r they now. Friendships are hard to maintain afterall.....*sigh*

We stood outside the chalet to chat. Caught up with Sarah (OI fren cum coz mate) and her bf, Keith. Got to know another new fren, Melissa. Poor Carina n me. Stood for more than 2 hours.

At last got to enjoy some aircon and get to sit down in the room upstairs. Yippie.....poker cards are brought in to save me from stoning. Came in rather late though. I lost in a round n had to drink Tiger Beer in sips according to the no. of cards I have left. 12 sips. Argh. Almost choked. Lousy drinker.

Prelude of my Graduation

Graduation was held in this brand new convention centre. Was late for the briefing and being the 1st time there, I missed the thermoscan station. Later ran up n down juz to get my temperature, which the "brilliant" invention can't even capture and ended up doing the manual way. =/

YUMMY !!

After so much of whining (yes, I do whine at times), I've got what I wanted. D-U-R-I-A-N !!!! I've been asking my parents from day to night to buy me durians. And *tada* three boxes of them in the fridge now.....

Durians is such an exotic fruit that some love it, some hate it. Especially foreigners who hate it, they find it stinking like a rotten egg. Not for me.

Itz unpleasant and thorny shell might turn people off.
But itz wat is inside that makes U drool.
Itz yellow flesh is creamy and yummy.
The taste of it in your mouth is indescribable. One word -- Heavenly !!

So much about it. I'm off to grab a piece of it now. Will be back to upload pics soon, which I'm taking forever to do ya ?

Oh man.......LAZY PIG is at last spending some of her time blogging.

So much wanted to blog abt my all-so joyous graduation which took place last Friday but of coz....couldn't summon much energy to do so. Was also busy viewing and editing the pics. Then after, got to celebrate Carina's bday on Saturday and Grandpa's bday on Sunday. And had to edit the pics taken on both days and send them to relevant pple. =P

I'm currently part-timing at a childcare centre and now they're thinking of hiring me as their full-time staff to market the centre and update the website. And on the other hand, I'm waiting for my job interview reply from Rock Records. Hopefully I'll get the latter. Afterall, I'm not so good at marketing n building websites even though I have the experience. Loser.

Part-timing for the centre is easy. Teaching obedient kidz is one pleasure. Having fun with them is another. Moreover, kidz really speak the darnest things. =)

Alrite, I'm going off to meet my celeb mahjong kakis for a game. Will be uploading pics here soon.....I hope...and I'll TRY !!

Wat happens when a fren gets more inferior n depressed than I am ??
I'll cry. And I did.
I didn't hear anything from her. I read. Her blog.
I feel so helpless. So is she.
I so much wanted to reach out and help. I missed.
Maybe I could get hold of her even if I have no strength to pull her up.
I so much wanted to hear her out, to lend a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on....
Wasn't given a chance.
I have a desire - to be a true friend. I want to be there for frenz who are sad, to share their problems and cheer them up. I want to be there when they're happy, to share their joy. Even if I can't do a good job......
Was I ever given a chance ??
