Happy Belated Birthday Val

Juz came back from a hearty yet "sinful" dinner at California Kitchen Pizza @ Forum. It was meant to celebrate Val's bday. Val, my close fren & Pri sch mate. Her bday was on the 16th but she had other celebrations that were more impt than mine. Heh. Haven got her any prezzie yet. Hard to find a suitable one.

Was supposed to meet her at Kinokuniya @ Taka at 4pm. I reached Orchard earlier and went shopping on my own. Went Zara and got myself a pair of black pants for work. Went up to Kino - my paradise. Believe it or not, I can spend my whole day or even whole month in Kino or any book store and not feel bored. I'm not a bookworm. I juz love being surrounded by books. Only in a book store, there is an unlimited no. of books for me to read and endless knowledge for me to acquire.

Anyway, Val came at 4 and told me her fren called her and was feeling faint. So Val has to rush to meet her and could only meet me much later. Oh well, wat to do but to let her go. So I spent the following hours sitting in front of a shelf of Zhang Xiao Xian's books and reading them. Read a long chapter of her lastest book - "Li Bie Qu". How I wish I can sweep all her books off the shelf and make them mine. Val came back and brought me away from my paradise.

Actually, books can make me forget about hunger. Maybe itz a good way to slim down. =) Esp. after the "sinful" dinner. =/
