I'm depressed. My faithful 2-year-old computer is spoilt for the first time! Tried all means to revive it but to no avail. Sobz. Consulted my uncle (comp expert) over the phone. Trying to Scandisk now. My poor comp is working at itz 14th hours now. Juz wait to see if that helps. If not, I have to format my whole comp. Luckily I have backed up most of my precious documents.
My comp is not completely dead though. Juz cant have Internet access. Sigh. What am I gonna do at those wee hours when I cant sleep? Cant chat with frenz online. Cant surf the net. Well, I can still play comp games, watch vcd, listen to my mp3 though.
And now, I'm using my Aunt's dialup to surf and blog. I miss my cable days. Heh. Anywayz, I juz finished baking cookies for Braden and Jinde. Itz part of their bday prezzies. Ermz, though those cookies are made from dummy-proof cookie mix, I still made some blunders. =P Well, dun worry, those cookies are still edible. I ate a couple. Taste good!
Alritez, shall go home now. Will be meeting the boyz later. *Yawnz* Woke up too early today. And itz a Saturday! Anywayz, my dear faithful readers, you wun be able to see me online these days. Do take care both yourself and your computer.
Praying hard that my comp can recover from this illness soon. Luckily itz not a terminal illness. Or else......*tears roll down uncontrollably*
Long time since I last blogged. Heh. Have been busy and lazy.
Just now, I received an sms from Jill. She wished me a happy birthday and proudly declared to me that she remembers my bday. Ermz...this is the first time I have someone sending me a bday greeting a month earlier. =) I once have someone giving me my bday prezzie months b4 my bday. Heh.
Anywayz, this is what I did last week.
Monday (13th Oct)
Accompanied Karene to town. Shopped around and changed some Thai Baht coz Karene was going for a mission trip to Thailand with her church. And she's back yesterday. Heh.
Tuesday (14th Oct)
Was a couch potato. Rest and slacked. =P
Wednesday (15th Oct)
Astronaut Yang Liwei became space hero when China's first manned space mission took off. Yippie.
Went back to Nurturepoint (BASC) to teach. The Montessori kids took their graduation pics. First time I saw those kids coz I normally teach at the 2nd level. They're so adorable. The photographer and his assistant had a hard time catching the kids attention to look at the cam. And instead of asking them to say 'Cheez' and smile, the photographer asked them to say "A-B-C", "Chicken" (Weird!?) and "Mummy". Haha.
During tea break, I was asked to accompany the Montessori kids home on the school bus as the Auntie in-charge fell ill. The kids were very talkative. I chatted with them and my words tickled them so much that my ears were deafened by their laughters. Guess kids laugh at anything. *shrugz*
The cutest of them all is a 2 yr-old boy, Roy. He's so adorable and smiles with dimples. Hee. He fell aslp on the bus and when I woke him up when we reached his house, his half-awake look juz melted my heart. Awww. I had to carry him down the bus.
Back to the BASC, I played table-tennis with the students. The last time I played this game was a decade ago. Well, I had fun though I lost to 2 students who can play pretty well.
Back to home, after dinner, Mum asked me to paint her nails as she has to attend a wedding the next day. Accepted the job with joy, coz I've found a guinea pig to practise my nail art painting skills. Heh.
Thursday (16th Oct)
Everyone cheered as China's Shenzhou V capsule has returned to Earth safely after making 14 orbits. Opps....I heard fake applauses from the US govt and Japanese. They muz be angry, huh?
Meet Tesh in town. Supposed to meet Michelle too but she came very much later. Anywayz, started shopping with Tesh at cosmetic counters. From Taka's to Tangs' and lastly Isetan Scotts. At Isetan Scotts, Clinique was offering a skincare and makeup lesson at $20 (fully redeemable for their products). Later I tot, itz like buy any product and the lesson is free. Heh.
Anywayz, Tesh and I took up the attractive offer. The Clinique coach is very amiable. She taught us the basic skincare needs and showed us the diff layers of our skin. Dermis, epidermis whatever. =P When she's done with skincare part, the fun part came in -- step-by-step to doll ourselves up! The coach went into every step and taught us the correct way of applying makeup. I found out that I have been applying concealer in the wrong way all these while. Eeps. The best thing abt this lesson is I got to learn how to apply eye makeup for my small, single eyelid eyes. Coolz.
At the end of the lesson, the coach even gave us a few sprays of Clinique's fragrance - Happy. I wasn't used to the fully made-up me. Esp. the eye makeup even though Tesh kept reassuring me that I looked really nice. I bought the duo-color eyeshadow I tried on anywayz. =) It was a day of vanity.
Friday (17th Oct)
Took the BASC students to Little India. Wasn't a really pleasant trip as one of the student got hurt when we juz set our feet on Little India. She knocked into a metal bar when we made a corner turn. I was two students behind her and was shocked when saw it happened. I stopped her immediately to check if she was hurt badly. It was a crescent mark at first. Later, blood started oozing out and I frantically grabbed some tissue to stop the blood. 2 other teachers came and took her to the nearest clinic while I took care of others.
The girl was very brave. She hardly cried. But she suffered a 5 stitch wound. Painz. Anywayz, the trip continued. It poured heavily when we were having lunch. And when the rain got smaller, we took them to the bazaar. Some of the girls bought bangles.
Taking students out on excursion is very tiring. Huge responsibility too. Sigh.
Saturday (18th Oct)
Went to an Australian Universities fair at Orchard Hotel with my cousin. Got to learn more abt the entry requirements of diff unis. Meet my sec sch frenz - Joanna, Gavin and Sean. Problems of furthering my studies always bother me. Sigh. Still not sure wat I wanna study.
On Fri, my Sec Sch kakis and I went to Kbox @ Paradiz to celebrate Yakai's bday. We had a great time there, especially when I've been craving for KTV (hard to find frenz to sing with me).
A lil different from my usual - for every song, we sang together. 2 mics for 5 girls. Not used to it at first, coz I usually sing songs by myself. After a short while, atmosphere got heated up and I cared less on whether the voices were harmonised.
We did some drama to illustrate every line of some songs. Turned romantic for love duets. Got super high when we sang SHE's 'Superstar'. Even tried standing up to sing but the room is juz too small to even move an inch.
Sang for 3 hours. So not enough for me. Even the rest thought so. I'm planning for another KTV nite. This time on a weekday. Cheaper and we can sing for the entire nite! Shiok! =P
Eunice dun wear skirts often....once over the "colourful" moon?? Oh well, the moon juz turned colourful on 30th Sept. Heh.
When I was looking for my jeans, Carina smsed me to wear my skirt. Alrite, anyway the skirt goes along with my never-go-wrong black top. But not my sandals. So I digged out my heels, which I've worn only ONCE and hurried off.
In the lift, I kinda regret my feminine dressing. But since I'm out and running late.....sigh.....I have to go on (with heels). Nothing against the skirt.
Price I paid for this vanity:

I used to take 5 mins to walk to the MRT station. But with heels, the time was doubled even tripled. I'm a fast-walker and today, my speed was halved. I hate people who walk slowly and obstruct my passage. Yet today, I've turned one of them.
A brisk walk (in flats) to the MRT station never makes me sweat. With heels, I've to make sure my makeup doesn't melt with tissue papers.
At the end of the day, though I've only been out for 4 hrs, it seems like I've walked the whole of Singapore. In fact, half of the time was spent at The Glasshouse's Fish & Co enjoying my Seafood Platter and Passionfruit drink. Yummy!
Guess for vanity.....women are willing to pay watever price. Even a tomboy here is conforming. Haha. I have to get used to wearing heels. =/
