Gong Xi Fa Cai?!

Ritez... I've changed the font colour for CNY.

Pretty bored now....in fact VERY!!! Have been lying on my sofa, channel surfing for the past few hours...S'pore's CNY celebration program isn't as nice as past years n Taiwanese CNY variety programs aren't entertaining; what's worse, I can't sleep even at such wee hours.

I'm amazed by my emotionless behaviour. Coz I can dun give a damn abt New Year's Day but not CNY!! Juz days ago, I was telling my colleagues abt my cravings for Bak Kwa and yummy CNY goodies. Now...I dun wish to touch them.

Realised it has been 3 weeks since I last blogged. Well, I wanted to. But those totz and words "fell" into the memo pad which I bring whereever I go. Maybe one day I'll consolidate them and post them here. That day might nv arrive!? Haha.

Anywayz, have a strange tot...why must we always say "GONG XI FA CAI" first? Can we use other greetings? Coz Gong Xi Fa Cai (directly translated - congratz for striking rich), is not really applicable to kids or students. Nvm me....=/

Can't keep my eyes open now. Shall update again....

Below is a very tactless yet truthful joke, which I read from some Taiwan site:


有一天，在巴士上有两位男生在对话。

甲问乙说： 你比较重视女孩子的内涵还是外表啊？

乙回答道： 当然是外表！！

甲： 这样太肤浅了吧？美丽只是短暂的吔！

乙： 可是丑陋却是永恒的！

Here's the English translation:

One day, on a bus, there were two guys chatting with each other.

A asked B: Do you value girls' personality or pretty looks?

B replied: Of course it's their pretty looks I go for!!

A: Aren't you too superficial? Pretty outlooks don't last long!

B: But ugliness is forever!


That's reality. Cruel, isn't it?

Even the day Singapore starts snowing, this social norm of "judging people by their looks" will not be abolished.

While a part of me hates pple who judge others' by their outlooks (esp. MEN! And bcoz I'm not good-looking!!), another has to agree that first impression (takes 3 seconds to form, 3 years to change) is based on one's "packaging".

Emotionally stepped into 2006

23rd time going thru the crossover of years. This time from Yr 2005 to Yr 2006. I forget how the past 22 were like. *senile* But never once was delightful, maybe juz pushed up my mood scale by 0.5 to 5mm. And the 23rd one was like __________ -- emotionless!

While many crowded together at different corners of Singapore to countdown to 2006, I boarded Bus No. 28 from Toa Payoh interchange with a mother & son and an uncle. I had my eyes fixed on watever's outside as I sinked into my ocean of totz. So much so that I almost miss my stop. =/

Reviewing my blog, I realised around Oct, Nov and Dec 05, I haven been blogging much. I remember I wanted to upload some bday pics in Nov; I wanted to blog abt my crazy workload, how shopping therapy helped and my "suay suay" (unlucky) Xmas. In the end, I was too busy and din have the mood to talk abt anything. =/

My bday pics, u can view them from my Friendster account. My crazy workload will clear from time to time. Maybe I'm juz SLOW so things to do will snowball at 100km/hr. Shopping is really a good way to de-stress!! Being able to own great items that can beautify oneself will boost my happiness level. Nevertheless, stress doubles up when I check my bank account at the end of day. And not as though lugging heavy shopping bags and walking around shopping malls can help relieve stress; it will only add stress to my hands n legs. Therefore, I've opted for a better choice -- WINDOW SHOPPING!!!! Or maybe the magical 4-letter word "SALE" can do some help. =P

As for my suay suay Xmas, itz all abt losing every game I played (in two parties) and had to do forfeits. It used to be me forfeiting others. This time, all were retributed! Anywayz, I'm the one who suggested having forfeits so I'm game for it. So I got to prank call someone, dance and sing.

OK...I have been writing this entry since 4.47pm. And I duno what else to write abt. =/
