Yippie!!! I found a deck of New Palladini Tarot Cards in Kino and I've made it mine!!!!
Hurhur. That saved me from the confusing US shipment or bothering frenz to help me get it if they find it overseas.
So from now on, if u need some "insight" to your problems, I can lend you my listening ear and my tarot cards for some tarot reading. Heh. But I'm still learning what each card means.... shall try my best then. =)
I'm busy with my school assignments lately so wun be posting entries that frequent (and since when I update my blog frequently?). But I'll try to be back by 20 Oct. Maybe with my niece's pics, Brother's ROM pics etc. Hmmmz.....I'm tinking I should get a haircut (shorter and funkier style) and set up a Chinese blog site. We shall see ba.

I participated in the Project Superstar audition!! Haha. Surprised, no?
Anywayz, I specially took leave on Saturday just to go for the auditions. But I overslept in the end and only got to HDB Hub (where the auditions are held) at 10am, instead of the supposed 8.30am. Being late for 1.5 hrs has caused me to stand under the scorching sun for 1 hr, before the Channel U crew decided to send me home with a no. tag 3055 and asked me back today at 10am.
So this morning, I went back to HDB Hub for my audition. And as a punishment of being kiasu to reach an hr before the supposed time, I received scrutinies from the Channel U crew & security and had to stroll to n fro in front of closed shops while chatting with Ting on the phone. =/
It was a breeze this morning as there wasn't any stage performance before the audition. Phew... Saved me from the embarassment. All of us just went straight to the basement for audition. =) We are grouped into groups of 5 to move and sit with. I like my group. They are really nice people and we encouraged one another while waiting for our turns. We even practised our songs together. =) What added on to our pressure was the buzz-out sound effect (DEEEHHH!!!) sounding every now and then.
There were a guy and a gal who got into the next round before my turn. They both look great and seems to have a powerful voice. *bit nails* Then people before me started to get buzzed out very quickly. I think they barely sang a line or two then kana DEEEEHHH ler! So poor thing leh. On the other hand, I felt more pressurised and started to imagine that before I could even sing I will get boot out already. Heh.
Still, I made that big step into the audition room to meet the panel of 3 judges, made up by Channel U & Mediacorp producers. One of them is Jill's Auntie but no brownie pts for that though. Feeling nervous and cold, I started introducing myself in the order of name, ref no., title of song...oops I made a blooper here! It should be my age first then the title of the song. Heehee.
I sang the whole chorus of Tanya's Wu Di Dong (Endless Pit) before the judges rang the bell for me to stop to see the verdict. They discussed a lil and decided to light the red light with a loud DEEEEHHHH. I smiled, bowed and left the room. Thru the long way out to the exit, I smiled to the waiting contestants along the corridor. Not a tinge of sadness I felt. Rather a whole load of relief. I can finally eat peanuts, chocolate, deep-fried and spicy stuff!!! Muahahaha.
Sadly, I have disappointed many who had high hopes on me - those who predicted that I can at least go thru the first round. Sorry nei. I just dun have the star quality those producers are looking for ba. However, I'm confident with my vocal. I din sing out of tune for sure. Haha. According to some hearsay, the crew was expecting to choose 50 out of 700++ contestants today. Oh well, I can sing but there are many who can and who can sing much better.
Overall, it was a great experience. I din expect myself to even have the guts to step into the audition room. I meet nice people and made frenz with them. I've received many well-wishings from many people. From my family members to close frenz to colleagues to bosses to fren's boss to even ballet students in my centre.
Although I din get into the next round, I'm going to make the following sound like I've already won the Superstar title.
Daddy & Mummy, thank you for believing in me and spurring me on thru this period of time. Thank you for being a great host to my frenz who stayed over at out place. Thank you for giving me a life to sing. And pls stop harping on the fact that I lost and accuse me for choosing the wrong song. =)
Korkor, sorry for letting your high hopes down. Told ya not to pin your hopes on me though you wun able to make it to the auditions. All the best to ur wedding preparations!
Xiting, yes...it's YOU!! See....I din forget u leh!! Well, thanks for standing in for my work on Sunday morning, when u should be lying on ur guifei bed sleeping it thru til late afternoon. Thanks for being my lil music teacher - always there to penalise me when I sing out of tune. Haha. JUZ KIDDING. Thanks for tolerating my temper all these while.
P1 & P3, thanks for all the effort to rush down just to support the 'not so useful' me. Thanks for all the de-stressing Saturday Mahjong evenings. Thanks P2, for all the encouraging words and concern. Thank you P1 for the constant reminder to stay clear from "disastrous" food. Thank you P3 for your super witty humourous words. Karene, thank you for helping me with all that last minute preparation, e.g. choosing my 3rd song, deciding on what to wear etc. Thanks for pointing out my obvious 'praying' action when I sing w/o mic. Thanks for letting me know if I went out of tune after every trial attempts. Thanks for staying over and sacrificing your beauty sleep for me. Yes...I still owe u a very belated prez.

Thank God, for giving me the strength and courage to make such a big step forward. Thank You for letting great supportive people to be ard me. Thank You for leading me this far...though I failed...but it was a great experience gained.
Although there wasn't any kind soul who would "hypocritically" say that I'm already the Superstar in his/her heart, I'm still very grateful of everything.
This is the first time I actually feel happy (and relieved) after a failure. Haha. So happy until I start to ponder if all these are delusional. Or maybe deep-down I m crying. Haha. XT and P3, please be assured I'm TRULY happy!! =D

Another happy moment...I got myself a smaller digicam!! Hee. Itz a Canon Ixus 60. =) I'm suppose to save for my school fees but I tink I need a smaller digicam badly. My 4.5 yrs old Olympus is too bulky. Actually wanted to be brand loyal and get Olympus Stylus 740 but Canon Ixus 60 produces better pic quality.
However, after few tryouts, I still prefer my old Olympus. Maybe I haven get used to the new cam ba. I duno leh. =s
I had a tough time bargaining just to save 25 bucks on this cam. Haha. =P
Days were stressful before (30 Aug) I handed in my first 2 assignments of the semester. But that after, I went on holiday mode....til today. Little do I care of my next assignment that dues in 2 weeks time. Haha.
Back date a lil...my baby niece, Lenice, has joined my maternal family on 18th Aug!! This poor lil newborn had virus infection therefore I only got to see her via my cousin-in-law's digicam back then. Just this Wed, I popped by my cousin's place (next to my block) to visit her and Lenice. Heee....Lenice is so cute!!!! Took a pic of her with my hp. Will upload soon. She refused to sleep that afternoon...maybe she knew that her playmate aka me, her auntie (but I'll insist she calls me jiejie) was there.
I told her to grow up quickly so she can play with me; she listened on. I sang Twinkle Little Star to her and she listened attentively. However, I didn't carry her. I'm always afraid of newborns coz they have a HUGE invisible 'FRAGILE' sticker on them! Eeks! But I'll try when she is 1 month old. *shivers*
Ohhh....I like her name ey. Coz it differs from mine by two alphabets. Hee. Sounds alike too! Heh.
Another happy moment is that my dear brother is getting married!! Woohooo.... I can't believe my ears at first though! Hurhur.... I always think that my brother is too child-like to settle down. =P
What makes me happier is my shopping trip @ Dhoby Xchange - my new-found fave shopping place. Though itz just a small shopping area above Dhoby Gaut MRT station, there are many nice shops there. At least one shop got me to buy 2 tops and 1 skirt from it. Well... I can shop in malls and din get anything. So, Dhoby Xchange did a great job. And upon every $40 spent, I received a free movie ticket. Hee. What a deal. *throws an Auntie look*
Ohh....speaking abt Aunties, I came across two that was really irritating. I was shopping with Sian at PS and found that P.O.A has shoes at 50% discount. When we entered the shop, I saw two Aunties trying on shoes. They tried practically every design, made the sale assistant run to n fro for them and at the end of everything, they made a big fuss over $2.
Sian bought the same design of shoes and gladly paid $18 coz we know our maths. 50% of $36 is $18. And those two aunties were giving the sales assistants a hard time (at 10pm when they should be knocking off) by insisting that the shoes cost $16. They mentioned seeing a $16 tag on the displayed shoes. Ey, both Sian and I didn't see any tag on those shoes when we picked them up. Duh.
I duno how they resolved the conflict coz we left. But if I were the sales assistant, I would have thrown $2 (out of my own pocket) at their faces. Argh. Hmmm....maybe not arh....I wanna be a good service personnel! Haha.
